Barton is a results oriented Information Technology executive with experience leading high performance engineering teams and driving technology strategy from inception through execution. His specialties include: Enterprise Architecture & Technology Strategy; Virtualization; Cloud Computing; Enterprise Mobility; System Architecture & complex troubleshooting.
At Capital Group, Barton leads the Enterprise Technology teams responsible for Capital’s global infrastructure. Prior to joining Capital, Barton was a senior executive at JP Morgan Chase (formerly WaMu) responsible for the enterprise virtualization and Infrastructure delivery organization. Barton has also served as a Technology Principal consulting for multiple Fortune 500 clients specializing in Complex Systems Design and Infrastructure Architecture.
Barton has an MBA from the University of Washington and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana. He guest lectures at the USC Marshall School of Business, and is a regular speaker at industry events focused on Mobility, BYOD, and Virtualization. Barton resides with his family in Orange County, California.
