Robin Gareiss, President and Co-Founder, Nemertes Research

DOWNLOAD PRESENTATION

Digital transformation is leading organizations to investigate how emerging technologies can transform the way they interact with customers, potentially improving retention rates, up-sell, and customer satisfaction. In this workshop we’ll provide the fundamentals of how digital transformation will impact customer engagement, and equip you with technologies and organizational strategies for success. Technologies to be discussed include: emerging contact center channels, advanced enterprise search, artificial intelligence (natural language processing, business process automation, virtual personal assistants, etc.), associated management tools and metrics. We also will discuss real-world use cases of customer experience success stories.

Pre-Conference Workshop: Cloud Infrastructure for Next-Generation Applications

Johna Till Johnson, CEO and Co-Founder, Nemertes Research
John Burke, Principle Analyst and CIO, Nemertes Research

DOWNLOAD PRESENTATION

Enterprise technologists need to rethink their infrastructure strategies in light of the move to cloud-based applications. That means considering new technologies like SDN, Whitebox network and compute devices, SD-WAN, NFV, cloud exchanges, and more. It also means re-thinking how they secure and manage cloud-based resources and applications, including deploying CASB, cloud-based DLP, and other cloud-centric security. And it means building out a long-term business case that takes into consideration the costs–and cost benefits–of the shift to cloud.

In this interactive workshop we will walk participants through critical design decisions for deploying virtualization technology in the WAN, using our SD-WAN cost model (freshly updated with current rates for MPLS and Internet services from our WAN economics research). We’ll guide them through the decision-making process for migrating workloads to cloud (including “hidden costs” like network and storage). We’ll show how to make the case for whitebox technologies in the data center. And for participants that have provided us with their information ahead of time, we’ll prepare customized maturity models.

What technologies should companies be assessing for 2020 and beyond? What are the advances in AI, blockchain, quantum computing and cryptography that will fundamentally transform how companies do business over the next five years?

And how do we get there from here? Today, companies are investing in digital customer experience, AI and machine learning, and next-generation security and infrastructure. How will these existing technologies integrate with emerging ones, and on what timeframe? This session provides a glimpse into the future, and a roadmap to getting there, from Nemertes’ resident futurist, CEO and founder Johna Till Johnson.

Platinum Sponsor Keynote: Taming Network Chaos with Oracle’s S.A.F.E. Architecture

Brian Kracik, Sr. Director Product Marketing, Enterprise Communications and Cloud Services

DOWNLOAD PRESENTATION

In today’s digital economy, enterprises face operational complexities, heightened customer expectations and chaos in the form of security breaches, network reliability and communications overload. IT decision-makers also realize that distributed IT, distributed workforces and the shift to multi-cloud all promise to disrupt. Yet, while businesses objectives rely on enterprise networks, many struggle with digital-network readiness. This requires networks to perform with greater agility, reliability, security and performance. Oracle Communications will discuss why it is time for enterprises to rethink their network and how Oracle’s S.A.F.E. Architecture eliminates network chaos and transforms it to a true competitive advantage.

Cautious Anticipation in the Age of AI and Analytics

Robin Gareiss, President and Co-Founder, Nemertes Research

DOWNLOAD PRESENTATION

Artificial Intelligence and analytics are the top two technologies companies expect will transform customer experience moving forward. That transformation affects end customers, who will increasingly use chatbots and other forms of AI to interact with companies. It also affects employees, who may be replaced by AI or receive timely advice from AI engines. How can you make sure AI bolsters, rather than degrades, customer and employee experience. And what are some real-world examples of how companies are using these technologies today and planning to use them in the future?
