John Burke – Your Multicloud Future Requires Mastering Cloud-First and Cloud-Native Design
2019 was the watershed year when, for the first time, the average organization went from delivering services mostly from on-premises resources to using mostly cloud. IT’s challenge for 2020 and beyond is to learn to develop, deploy, manage, and secure cloud-first, cloud-native, and multicloud solutions. IT must adopt the right principles, technologies, processes, and positions. Join us for this session as we dig into principles like microservice design and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), technologies like containers, tools including cloud management platforms (CMPs) and cloud service brokers (CSBs) from the likes of VMware, Red Hat, and RightScale, and cloud access security brokers (CASBs) such as BitGlass and SkyHigh. Multicloud makes WAN strategy more important than ever, so we’ll touch on SD-WAN solutions like those from Cisco, Oracle, Citrix, and Versa, as well as cloud exchanges such as AT&T NetBond, Equinix Cloud Exchange, and Verizon Secure Cloud Interconnect. We’ll also explore staffing up in positions including cloud architects and cloud solutions architect, and cloud-centric processes, especially a robust workload placement process. We’ll leave you with a clearer picture of what your organization needs to implement, and how to tell if you’re succeeding with your multicloud strategy.

Irwin Lazar – Team Collaboration and the Future of Work
Team collaboration tools like Cisco Webex Teams, Microsoft Teams, and Slack are reshaping enterprise internal and external collaboration, enabling improved support for virtual work, contextual collaboration, and workflow and data integration. But successfully implementing team collaboration apps requires addressing security, governance, and compliance – along with choosing apps that best integrate with existing and planned collaboration platforms. Join us for this session as we discuss the state of enterprise team collaboration, the business drivers for adoption, deployment approaches that correlate with success and which metrics to measure, how to determine team collaboration ROI, and how to ensure that data stored within team collaboration applications is properly protected.
